Our ceiling is done! After two weeks of drywall dust (man that stuff get EVERYWHERE!), scaffolding, paint and plastic covered walls our living room has a new look. Gone are the drywall cracks, bad repair jobs and icky very dirty white paint. The shelf is repaired and looks brand new. We are so excited to have our living room back.
Well, not quite “back”. We decided to do it right and really finish the room before returning furniture to its rightful place. We selected paint for the walls (which also need a fresh coat) and pulled out some of the trim color. We are using the same color for the ceilings as the trim, but in different sheen finishes. Picking a white is so hard! They all look the same until you realize that they are SO different when paired up next to each other. We settled on Vermont Cream and love it.
Current status: the wood floor is trimmed in bright blue painter’s tape. As soon as we find some time I will tackle the trim and then paint the walls. It’s going to look so sharp!
