Happy May Day

We did lots of craft projects growing up, but May brought a special activity: May Day cones. I remember sitting with my mom at the kitchen table making May Day cones out of wallpaper scraps. We would carefully roll the cones and fill them with flowers picked from the garden. I loved delivering them to our neighbors.

It has been years since I made a May Day cone, but look forward to continuing the tradition with my kids someday.

  1. How I miss making and receiving May baskets. Your blog will have to do for this year. All to often when I was little we had to settle for dandelions in our baskets, but that was good enough. Love, Grammy
